The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It uses AI to identify objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, meaning you can instruct the robot to avoid it.
The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.
The design is also superior to the competition. It features a sleek, top piece that looks like toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. best robot hoover robotvacuummops.com and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ quickly removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It even managed to take small gravel and sand that other robots couldn't do. It did all of this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.
While it's not quite as smart as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent option for those who require both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to tell if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably one that is a hybrid. This kind of robot usually comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. These bots also have a variety of extra features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're costly at full retail but often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes some of our top robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have certain features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic as well, with only a few missing in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled by the buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place emptying the bin is done easily. It also comes with an impressive LCD display that is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This isn't an essential feature for most people, but it's one that can assist you in keeping track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot with ease.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and function are among the best on the market however, it's also expensive.
It is a relatively small base station that looks beautiful and is able to be concealed when not in use. The station's most appealing point is how it automates numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that does an excellent job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, which means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of your home. It's also unable to climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for an automated vacuum that can do it all.
If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are many other options on the market. A lot of eufy models are considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with more features, including stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that have the right combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for carpets and hard flooring, and mopping capabilities at an affordable price. It's simple to set up, simply attach one of the side brush, turn it on and plug in your charging dock. The app takes you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be placed near an outlet with plenty of space to move.
The G30 is a tiny device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it will fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is more subtle in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The main aspect that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and what it isn't able to access. If it requires a recharge, it will automatically return to its starting point and begins cleaning from where it left off.
The elegant G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, offers similar battery life and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundary strips to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 however, is more affordable and much easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be empty as often and has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
